Start with your dates and care needs

OneStone Oak offers respite stays with a minimum duration of 30 days. The community does not advertise overnight or weekend respite. Call 210-436-8669 to discuss the dates you are considering, room availability, and the assessment process before making other arrangements.

A temporary stay still requires a careful suitability discussion. Explain physical and medical needs, everyday assistance, medications, mobility, and nighttime routines. An inquiry does not reserve a room or guarantee admission.

A private bedroom in a shared community

OneStone Oak has 16 private bedrooms and communal bathrooms. Shared areas include dining and living spaces, a covered patio, and garden areas. Ask which room may be available and how the layout and personal-assistance arrangements would work during the stay.

Care staff are on duty around the clock. Discuss the specific support your loved one needs directly with the team. If a stay is being considered after hospitalization, confirm with the relevant professionals whether assisted living is an appropriate setting rather than assuming respite is skilled nursing or rehabilitation.

Pricing and payment

The proposed monthly rate follows an assessment of physical and medical needs. The quoted rate is all-inclusive, without separate level-of-care charges. Ask about the one-time community fee ($1,500 when you contact us directly), the payment schedule, early-departure and refund terms, and how a possible extension would be considered.

OneStone Oak is private pay only. Medicaid and Texas Medicaid STAR+PLUS are not accepted. No fixed respite price or guaranteed availability is published here.

Prepare the practical details

Ask what documents and belongings are needed, how to provide information securely, and who should be the family's primary contact. Share routines that matter to the resident and discuss the expected next step at the end of the stay.

Visitors are welcome daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. No pets, smoking, or vaping are permitted. OneStone Oak is Texas HHSC Type B assisted living, License #311593. Call for an assessment, updated pricing, and current availability.
